Here is the machine # 2 --Gigi---for some reason it took a turn for
the worse.I had a previous problem
with the tens reel not advancing the hundreds on occasion.Thought I
would try a couple of games to
see how it was working.Seemed okay so I thought I would leave that
alone for now.I had a couple of
burnt bulbs in the head but the back glass was stuck to the back and
couldn't get it out.I took the brackets
off, pulled off the jones plugs and the associated other hardware so
that I could get it out.All okay--separated the
glass from the wood (sticky black foam),put it all back
together, plugged it back in and NOTHING--tripped the 10
cent coin wire and motor ran non stop----realized I hadn't hooked up
the jones plugs for the back box---turned machine off--plugged in the
jones plugs and machine totally dead.I can trip the 25 cent mech and
add credits and the back board will light.Playfield dead--hold relay
on --score reels won't reset--game won't start--fuses look okay---
any suggestions--was not expecting this to happen

Just a start.  Make sure you have the jones plugs properly seated(and
clean) and in the correct location.

I posted a new topic for Gigi but somehow it ended up here on the
Ice Revue one---don't know why.Started to mess with the pin and
it pointed to the relay bank.Checked the slow blow 1 amp to the coil
that resets the bank and it looked okay but replaced it anyway.I
pushed
on the bar and all of a sudden it came alive.Thought this was
strange.Open
up the bank and see that the D reset relay is not resetting when I
start a game.
If I manually trip it and reset it,it appears okay and when I tried it
with the reset bar
it didn't reset but the other relays did.I checked the bar and there
was hardly any tension
on the spring that is attached to the reset bar.Installed a new spring
and now is working
okay except the alternate 3 yellow will score but not light so that
the 3 red is staying on.
This keeps getting weirder by the minute.I think I will pick up
tomorrow night on the # 3
--had enough for one night and after that I'll try the Cross Town.I'll
keep you posted
.
