Thats exactly what I did too, plus it was alot cheaper then buying the board
from anyone at that time.

When I restored my KISS, I took that thing out comepletely and
soldered in all new lamp holders. Works perfect and if a bulb needs
replacing its very easy , as before you had to take the whold plate
off.
