That you would have to take up with the shipping company. How do you
lose something like that in transit. Probably waiting for the
insurance claim on that one.
That's actually a big misconception. The shipping companies are paid
by the shipper and therefore technically "work" for them. They will
work with a receipient and communicate with them, but when it comes
down to refunding shipping costs or insurance, it is the shipper that
must do the work.
As a shipper, I would always always always get the insurance. As a
shipper you are responsible until you get a delivery confirmation.
Credit cards will honor charge backs (as will paypal) unless you have
delivery confirmation.
