So I bought myself a xmas present, a Tek 464 Oscilloscope on ebay. Now
I need to buy probes for it.
I have never touched a scope and have no clue (but I found the manual
online and am reading). Anyway,
where can I find decent probes at a reasonable price.
I will be using this for pinball stuff and hobby electronics stuff,
and a combination of the 2!
So far I have found exprobe.com and probemaster.com
Other than finding ones that are 100 Mhz and 1/10x switchable, is
there anything else I need to look for? Are all the connectors the
same etc?
And please, no probe jokes kids. (ok, but only if you follow up with
useful information)
Thanks,
Ben
Just get the cheap ones on Ebay. Two for $18. I've been using them
for quite a while and they are just fine. You can spend a lot of
money for genuine Techtronix probes but unless you are using them in a
commercial testing environment, you really don't need them. Your
scope is BNC and the ones on Ebay are just fine.- Hide quoted text -

Amen. And you won't feel as bad when you step on one or break one...
You'll just get online and buy another one.
