There are people who still say buy American, but there is very little
left that we make to buy. I don't know if it is just bad luck or what,
but everything electrical that I buy has to be returned 3 X before I
find one with all the parts, or one that actually works. Usually the
kiss of death - Made in China. I wonder who is making all the screws
that come with products these days. You go to tighten every screw just
a little bit, and the heads strip very easily on China Made products.
They can't even make a decent screw. I work outside a lot. I will
always buy my Insulated shirts and work clothes in larger sizes, in
order to wear multiple layers for Chicago's cold winters. After a
couple washes, everything shrinks to the point it is useless. I can
assure you I am not buying this stuff at Kmart or Walmart. The Chinese
are laughing their asses off at us.

I had heard (don't know if it's true) that a WalMart opened in China.
They were so excited that they were going to get products "just like
the Americans buy"... then were so disappointed to it was all the
stuff that THEY make in China! "Hey Joe, this is that shirt that _I_
made last week!"

Like I said, I don't know if it's true, but it amused me anyway...
