Re: Stern Seawitch: Coil recommendations...

The A-25-600 is direct replacement according to your numbers.  The
AQ-26-600 would be just a fraction weaker, due to a higher resistance

gauge and winding count for the hold portion of the coil.

I don't have any recommendations regarding Seawitch, as I've never owned
one.

I asked some fellow owners what coils they prefer in Seawitch as I
have heard the top left is a little too powerful, even when attached

the group as I am hoping to place an order today.

The manual recommends J-25-475 for the bottom flippers and J-25-600
for the tops.

My Seawitch flipper coils are all messed up.

Bottom Left: J-25-475 / 34-4500 (correct)
Bottom Right: Bally/Midway A-25-600 / 34-4000
Top Left:  Unnamed AQ-26-600 / 34-4500
Top Right:  J-25-475 / 34-4500 (should be the bottom right!)

I'm going to put the top right where it belongs (the right), but was
wondering about the AQ-26-600 and the A-25-600.

I am guessing the first number is the wire gauge and the second is
number of windings.  Are the other two numbers for EOS?  34 gauge
wire, 4500 winds?

Anyone have any recommendations?

Many thanks!

So technically, I should be ok. With that slightly weaker coil in the
top left, and swapping the top right and bottom right, the coils
should be close to spec.

Any other thoughts?
