If you put up custom messages on the header with the remote, you won't screw
up any of the tournament stuff running. LTG :)

I picked up a TSPP this week and it had the TOPS system installed
(Beta Brite Topper).  This machine will be used in my home gameroom,
so I was thinking about keeping the topper and reprogramming it with
some custom messages.  I read through the manual and I found the
instructions to add new messages or erase the memory.

If I erase the memory, will that clear out the Tournament messages
already in the system?

I basically want to keep the "The Simpsons Pinball Party" message,
followed by some custom messages that I will add.  I want everything
else to go.
