There are 22uF Electrolytic caps + 100ohm resistors in series that act
as snubbers across all 6 of the Special solenoid switches on
Firepower. That's on the 4 popbumpers and both of the kickers (or
slingshots). You can replace the cap with almost any voltage 10-25v,
but as stated you need to keep the capacitance the same (e.g. 22uF@16v
would be OK).
As to what a snubber does: I believe the idea is to increase switch
sensitivity but help to minimise the switch from "machine gunning".
Where two switches are wired in parallel as on pinball kickers, you
only need one Resistor+Cap for the pair of switches.
