Hi all,
I recently bought a William's Dealer's Choice as part of package deal
which is in decent shape except for the head.
I just found someone with the head to a Dealer's Choice who is willing
to sell me the head (minus the backglass, which should make things
easier). But he and I are wondering what's the best and cheapest way
to ship it.
He's up in Wattsburg, PA (16510), which looks to be about 10 miles SE
of Erie.
The head needs to make its way either to Landisburg, PA (17040) or
Baltimore, MD (21210).
Any suggestions on the best way to get from point A to point B (or C)?
Please let me know.
Thanks,
Matthew
Box it up and send it UPS ground.
Eric
I've done a bit more research at this point. If the dimensions of the
box fall within UPS's maximums for the weight of the packaged-up
backbox, then UPS is competitive with Fedex Ground. If, however, the
dimensions of the box exceed those maximums, then you get hit with a
whopping extra charge. I'll keep everyone posted as I learn more. But
at the moment, it's looking as though FedEx Ground is the cheapest
option.
