New Stern pinballs on location

For those of you near North West Indiana here is what I have out in
the area.

Olympia Lanes Bowling Alley in Hammond, IN. Shrek, WPT, NASCAR,
LOTR. This is a new 11 piece gameroom that opened May 15th. The
owner is undergoing a major remodel (it's their 25th anniversary) and
the gameroom was built to my spec in an area that was formerly storage
so you get plenty of volume on the pins and no overhead light that
would create glare on the playfield.

Tyler's Tender Arcade, 352 East Rt 30 in Schererville, IN. Just
shopped out Roller Coaster Tycoon, WPT and WCS 94. Arcade opened
about three months ago. 17 games on the floor plus 3 cranes. I've
been in this location about 5 weeks, replaced previous operator who
opened location. Things are a little strange here, usually you get
the room right and open. This location opened and then the owner
began to see things weren't working with the first operator. We had a
transition stage and now I'm in the middle of finishing the decor.
Still have to finish painting about a third of the room. I missed
Expo last week in part because I was painting. Again no lights over
the pins and lots of pinball volume.

Sticks N' Suds bar, Lynwood, IL. Soprano's

Zige's Funland, Rt 41 in St. John, IN. New IJ4. Running code
1.4 ,will update to 1.6 this Friday. Lots of volume there as well so
you will hear the pin.

Jukebox Billiards, Calumet Ave in Munster, IN. Had a Sharkey's
Shootout there until the flood. Building took on 14 inches of water
and the pool table legs are all really warped!!! It will probably be
another 3 to 4 weeks until it re opens. Would like to put a BDK there
as I think it would do well but the short term looks like the LOTR
will be swapped for the Sharkey's Shootout when he re opens. I need
to pay for the Shrek and IJ4 before I spend more.

I read the anything new at Stern post. I have to say that I was at
the American Vending Sales manufacturers open house a few Thursdays
ago in Elk Grove Villiage, IL. I had to pick up an arcade game for
the Tyler's location and it just happened to be the same day. Spent
about a half hour talking to Joe Blackwell. He showed me the new
Spiderman redemption game saying it was a prototype. Three sided game
with a villian on each side, led light that you use to judge when to
hit the stop button to receive maximum ticket payout. I told him
about my pinball line up and he said that's great, keep going will ya.

Hope to see some of you local players out playing. My name, number
and E-mail is under the glass. The owner of the Tyler's Tender
Restaurant is a pin player. He indicated that if there was enough
intrest that we might be able to play after hours as a group. They
close at 8 pm weekdays and 9 pm Fri and Sat.
