I've been having a hell of a time keeping the ramp assembly from

not energized.)  Has anyone had this problem and figured out a good
fix?

Mine had this problem. It turned out to be the roll pin on the
solenoid plunger was sticking out ever so slightly. Small filing job
and it was perfect after that.
