I got a Zune for a gift and it seems really cool, but I cannot for the
life of me get the software downloaded from MS. I go through all the
registration processes and then in the final click to the download
page my browser says that the page cannot be found. I have used
Firefox, and IE with no add ons. I have tried turning on and off the
windows firewall. My Norton keeps it off and it's own on. I have a DSL
modem with a router to two PCs. I see a bunch of posts online of other
folks having this issue too.
Anyone here have any input?
Thanks in advance,

So now I got the software in my PC, but I then had to manually load
drivers. Now I can't get a sync with the Zune. The software shows
downloading, the zune shows connected and recieving, but the music is
not on the Zune. Or I can't find it. This thing is the most difficult
thing to use.

Tom,
I have had no problems with my Zune.
The easy way to get the songs on the Zune with the Zune software is to
go to settings ( top right area I believe) and add a folder that
contains your music to the music category. Then synch the Zune.
I did not have to load drivers or anything, the Zune software handles
that, although you may see the found new hardware wizard while it did
it's thing.- Hide quoted text -

Thanks for the help. I went to the Zune site and it recommended the
driver process, which then allowed the PC to "see" the Zune. Now I
have connection, and I can drag a ripped CD to the Zune. I see a
downloading graphic on the Zune, but then I can't get the Zune to do
anything other than show a "connected" message on the screen. So I
reset it and I can't find the songs that I just downloaded on the
Zune. Maybe I am not syncing correctly?

OK so now I figured out the Sync thing. Hindsight: neede drivers
manually loaded, needed software downloaded on GF's PC, then rip and
sync properly. Man this thing was a bugger. I have a Palm Tungsten
that was so plug and play it makes this Zune look like a POS. Well I
am listening to Rush now on the Zune and an somewhat happy.
Thanks everyone for the tips.
