Not a pleasant memory but one we can never forget..

Yeah 9 11 was pretty damn surreal.I actually lived in Washington DC
when it happened.

Creepy part is that that was my day off and usually later in the day
my wife and I would often take a leisurely bike ride along the
Virginia side of the Potomac River and usually would stop off at the
shopping center at Pentagon City for lunch/coffee and the bike cut
through to get there takes you actually right through the main parking
lot of the Pentagon!

If those had been later flights that were hi-jacked....who knows ???

Best memory I have of that day,is a friend who lived in College
Park(which was only about 4-5 miles from my house in Mt Pleasant/Adams
Morgan area called a few moments after it happened and wanted to whisk
us away to safety at her house..in case something else happened

I told her if anything else serious happened a few miles wouldn't make
much of a difference!

I still remember when Air Florida flight 90 crashed on the 14th St
bridge THAT was insane!

Howard Stern got fired for calling Air Florida the next day on his
radio show and asking if the 14th St bridge was a permanent stop and
could he get tickets!! Yikes!
