I have two allied pins one "Eros one" and one "Roy Clark" are the
boards compatible with one another?
the roy clark works but the eros one does not so I was thinking of
swapping over the boards to narrow down the problem.
Also does anyone know of any troubleshooting online? I dont think
Marvin3M had anything?
The boards are interchangeable between the two games. I would put the Eros board in the working Roy Clark cabinet as it is unlikely that a board can harm a game, but it is likely that a bad game can harm a board (power supply with too high voltage, etc.). So putting a suspect ALI board in a working ALI cabinet should show if the board is good or not, and if good then you have to repair the 5VDC power supply before looking at anything else.
I have a few suggestions on the ALI games (plus I sell manuals and parts) on my help page:
http://flippers.com/ALI-Pinball_service.html
ALI parts catalog is available for downloading there as well...
