Air conditioner or heavy appliance on the same line as your TAF ? Tis the
season for resets. Or even power drops from your utility company.
If all good, then with power off I'd try reseating the transformer
connectors and to the power driver board first, a couple times each.
I doubt it's a thermal problem, unless your friend is really hot. LTG :)

So on Saturday my TAF starts resetting. Every time both flippers hit
it resets. Had somebody over later that night, turned it on explained
it wasn't working and had no reset issue and it has been working fine
since then. He suggested it might be a thermal problem but I am not
sure where to look.
The game is on a dedicated 20amp with two other pins, neither of which
were being played.
Not going to start digging as it is working but would like to get
ready for fixing when it occurs again. Thanks.
The pin is on a 20amp line with just one other pin on that line.
Played fine and then just Sat morning it reset several times. Later
that night it worked for many games. I too thought BR but when it
seemingly fixed itself is when I started to scratch my head.- Hide quoted text -

Even though your pins are on a dedicated line it still could be an
input voltage problem. What other devices are on the same branch?
Remember, your panel is fed by 240VAC and split. If your pins are on
the same branch as other power grabbing devices, air conditioner,
water heater, washing machine, dryer, etc., they can bring that branch
down a bit; enough to affect your dedicated lines. You could monitor
this by using your DMM.
The advice above regarding the line conditioner is sound and will
likely solve your problem. It may be that the bridge rectifiers are
giving you problems but eliminate the "easy" things first. Good luck!
BTW, the ST:TNG is a blast!
Half Life
When you say branch I am not exactly sure what you mean. I have 200
amp service to my basement which does have a seperate hvac zone but
those are running on seperate breakers.
Power is a head scratcher for me sometimes.
BTW, real happy to hear you guys are liking the STTNG, went to a good
home.
