The header is the only other part that I didn't replace. However this
one "beebs out" fine as well. I put one end of the multimeter on the
tip of every header and than traced it to the next part in the line.
And everything was OK.
However I will replace it anyhow.
The solder splatter I will check again.
I also forgot to add. Before replacing the LED the switch was out.
When I touched two feet of the 4n35 IC the switch would close. I think
trough the conduction of my fingers. Now I can't seen to replicate
this anymore. The following might be logical but I want to mention it
to get the story complete. When I remove the 4n35 the led goes out and
the switch opens as well.
The header pins may be good but I'm thinking about the connection of the wires to the header pins. Are they tight?
