I would hate to ask for a display, and get it all gunked up with solder only
to find out that it's something else. I may just have to let the moths out
of my wallet and roll the dice...

Unfortunately, trying another display is next step and easiest. Anyone

I have a Williams System 11 display (D-11610) and Display #2
(alphanumeric) is not working at all. It is totally black without even a
flicker. I checked the pins from display #2 and it looks as though all
pins are have continuity to it's associated component. (including the +90V
and +100V)
I would venture a guess that the alphanumeric display itself is bad, but
am unsure how to prove it without buying another display. I stuck an
oscilloscope on the leads and it appears that it is getting some signals.
Can anyone lend some t-shooting advice?
