Solid State? I can fix. EM's? I just say "dduuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrrr" - so
I'm going to seem like a big newbie here on my first EM project.
Turn it on, score motor runs continuously. Read Clay's and googled for
similar topics, they say check motor swtiches possibly on the Ax relay -
of course, no schematic (yet.... will order one soon unless someone has
one for sale). Anyone with a schematic tell me what switches I should
look at? I realize this probably means all motor switches in all stacks.
I have done nothing to the relays other than tighten the stacks to see
how tight they were - they were very tight, each screw was less than 1/4
turn-1/2 turn at most - so I don't think 1/4 turn would change the
spacing that much.
The drop target banks both reset when turned on. Do you need a ball in
the trough for the game to power up successfully?
Oops, also, dopey me unplugged the wires to get the bottom board out
when I was cleaning the cab and the board, I figured all of them out
except for the chime wires - I figured I can measure whichever has
voltage is the common one and then based on the score figure out where
the other go but if someone could post the colors to chime that will put
me that much closer.
Thanks,

The chime wire colors starting with the 10 point (short) on the left
are solid brown on the left terminal and the black common on the
right. The 100 point coil has the brown and white wire on the left
terminal, The 1000 point coil has the orange wire on the left
terminal.
I am working on a Quick Draw right now (Also without a schematic.) and
had the typical score motor running issue. In my experience usually
the score motor switches are not the issue. The switch blades are
stiffer and longer than the relay blades and they get enough scrubbing
action to keep them working. Assuming the score reels and the bonus
unit (On the bottom of the playfield.) are at zero, is the 16 step
player unit in the head stopped in the home position? (The cam closest
to the back glass actuates a switch.) It will step endlessly if this
assembly is stuck in any other position.
In my case it was the infamous reset complete or AX relay. It would
trip when everything was at zero but, an improperly gapped switch kept
the player unit stepping and the score motor running. This was after
having the relay board out of the machine and looking closely at the
adjustment with a magnifying glass. The movement is so slight on these
latch/trip type relays that there is no room for error.
Hi Kevin, can you take a look at your bonus stepper, the switches on
the left side of it, one side is a zero position switch and the other
closes when there is bonus - The zero position switch does it have a
jumper wire accross its blades?
I had someone skilled in fixing EMs get this up n running and it
remains to me to tweak - it helps when someone shows you live how
these things work.

Scott,
I do not see a jumper on any switches on the left side of the bonus
unit. The wiring colors starting from the metal bracket that the
screws thread into are as follows: 1=yellow/blue 2=red/white 3=white/
black 4=orange/yellow 5=green/black.
