Re: Parting out. Is it time to cut your losses?

Really nice to hear some appreciative comments. Of course they come
from the class of this group no less. The post was maybe taken wrong
by a few. Cliffy and Steve are correct that I have given away stuff
or sold it dirt cheap at times. Yes, I've made a few bucks too. All
in all if I had to tally it up I lost my ass over the years. Most of
us have.

What happens is you start running into things and saving too much. Who
the hell is going to buy pop bumper assemblies? I must have a hundred
or so. Kicker arms? Used coils? It gets overwhealming at times.

I was for a while. Do you have any of the stern plastic ones that were used on Cheetah until the end of classic sterns? Those I'm actively seeking. I needed some old bally ones too but that's just to have 'extra' - the stern plastic ones are for repairs/upgrades.

Storage. I have three buildings I am using. One is Matt's barn! I
want so badly to start my Centaur ground up project but don't even
have the room to lay it all out. This from a guy who has a 40'x40'
shop as well as a garage. Between test fixtures, repairs, the shop
lineup, boxes of parts, the dogs couch, and other stuff it's a
nightmare anymore. Patricia won't even walk through the door now. She
calls me from the outside or on the radio intercom.
I have a box van loaded with stuff as well. Just too much.

Even I knew I had too much stuff when I moved, and I sold off a couple machines. Now, if I would just stop BUYING ones to replace them! I'm at least one machine over the limit right now, 2 if I decide to keep the pitch n bat.
