his response to that was that I didn't bid enough to get the machine as
advertised. The purpose of my post was to inform other so that they don't
do business with this clown. Or if they do, they go in with both eyes open.
I am not whining, but merely trying to inform future potential buyers about
the way this guy does business. If you agree with his methods, let me know
your ebay ID so I can avoid your aucitons. As for buying, I have purchased
about 90 pins in the past 15 months and think I do quite fine, but thanks
for that advice.

I purchased a game from this ebayer and unfortunately I didn't check
his
reputation here. Game description was:

You are bidding on a

Baywatch Pinball Machine

It was made by Sega in 1995

It has the playfield Disassembled and cleaned ,all parts cleaned

The playfield is waxed and reassembled with

all new rubber bands installed

All new lightbulbs on the topside of the playfield (Including
Flashers) and
the bad ones changed on the underside

The Light panel is cleaned and the bad lightbulbs changed

All New Pinballs installed

The cabinet is been cleaned inside and out

It has brand new batteries installed on the CPU

New Instruction cards installed on the apron

Below is a breakdown on the condition of the game and what we did
specifically to this game

The cabinet is in nice shape

The Playfield is in nice shape

The Display works , It has a couple lines out

The actual machine was not disassembled and cleaned, it was cleaned in
the
center of playfield and was filthy in places that could not be reached
easily. Both plastic ramps and wire ramps were very dirty. Light
panel was
not cleaned, some bulbs were out and some were just plain missing. The
cabinet was both dirty inside and out and has sticker residue outside.
The
display had lines out vs. the couple that were advertised. The machine
had
German display ROMs installed.

When I contacted him, his reply was basically that I didn't pay enough
to
get the machine as advertised in the ebay auction. The actual quote
was:
"you have got to be kidding, you got it fot $700. ". While I have
purchased
many machines through ebay, this was the first time that I have been
burned.
I am looking help others from being burned by this seller. BEWARE!

Sean

I just picked up a pin from Kirk on Thursday.(The DW I am having
problems with the mini playfield and the display) According to him he
is getting out of the pinball business, because he can't get the
containers from Europe for as cheap as before with the currency
exchange rate increasing. When I was at his shop he problably had
about 10 pins there. Just FYI if that helps

Regardless of the seller, there's nothing wrong with the pin you got
that a good cleaning and a new dmd won't fix.And as much as that title
bites, you got a great price on it.Hell the board set for a System 3
Gott is worth that alone.Maybe if you'd paid avg price $1200+ you'd
have something to bitch about.Welcome to the world of pin
buying, you'll get better at it as you do more of it.LOL,Christ whatta
you guys think happened b4 you had the internet to whine about this
kinda crap.I'll tell you what, you licked yer wounds and fixed yer
games and learned what not to do the next time ;) Welcome to the club
BTW,the learning curve is steep but if you hang on you'll actually
learn to enjoy the ups and downs of it!

Sean

We all know what you were saying in your post, and trying to do us all
a favor and warn us and newbies about this guy.. Anyone who defends
selling crap like that, well, hopefully they buy his next listing.

Thanks for the head up.

Steve
