TECH: REQUEST for Help with Problems on Williams ROLLERGAMES

Hi,

Hope anyone can help me with my problems here?

I have a Williams ROLLERGAMES pinball.
I repaird a few things but still have a few problems and qustions.

1 - Switch matrix: when testing the switches i notice that there is a
difference between my pinball and the manual.
In the manuel switchmatrix tabel it says that switch 14 and 15 are not
used, however in my pinball switch 14 is the "upper left kickback
switch".
For switch 15 it says it is "UNUSED" when i test it on the
"interconnect board" never theless when i run the "test report" it
always
gives me a notice that "switch 15" is not actuated the last 90 balls.
But i
can not find any switch 15 on my board. Can anyone tell me what is
going wrong? Or how to get rid of this notice?

Thx to John Wart i already found "switch 44" in the extra ball
loop.

2 - My next problem is a bit more difficult:
There is a "MAGNET" next to the right upper flipper, it should make it
easy to get up the "Wall / Ramp".
The Magnet does always get the ball, but when it does and the ball is
in center of the magnet, it's impossibel to get up the wall.
I tried everything: setting the manet higher or lower in the
playfield, changing the angel of the playfield, changing the angel of
the
upper right flipper, *** still it does not work. when the ball is on
the
magnet and i flipp, it always hits the middel "post" left of the
"ramp"
( 3 posts between the pit and the wall)
Does anyone know how to solve this problem please help??? because it's
the best feature of the pinball.

in response to John Wart:

regarding the ramp: Yess it is a litle bit damaged, but that is not the
problem.
when i hold the ball manualy at the magnet (magnet not working) and then i
flip,
then the ball goes up and around the ramp like a knive though butter.
But when the magnet has the ball and i flip, then the bal always hits
against the
middle post on the left of the ramp. (3 posts between the pit ant the ramp)
so that is to far away for even being possible to go up the ramp.

i looked at the flipper assembly and the eos switch, this is set so it stays
closed
as long as possible. and when the magnet is not working and i hold the ball
manualy,
the flipper is always strong enough to hit the ball up the ramp with no
problem.

i think it has got to do something with the magnet, magnet to strong?
or maybe switching off to soon/late?

3 - Then i have a question regarding the different ROM versions that are on
the pinball database: http://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=2006
Why is in the PinMame Romesets the ROM size for "U26" only 16k instead
of the 32k it should be like the manuel and the complete sets indicate?
Are the "pinMane Romsets" meant to work in an actual pinball? Or are
they
just meant to work for the virtual pinball programs?

My machine has ROM revision LU-1 installed, but in the manuel it says
it should be L-1
I Live In Belgium / Europe if that mathers, because i see in the
database that there is a prototype ROM version for europe and for
america
aswell. Don't know what the difference should be?

I had a look at my Roms. they are labeld with stickers.
- the 3 sound roms are "LA-3" brouwn lable
- the u27 is "LA-1" brouwn lable
- the u26 is "LU-1" blue lable

Thx to John Wart i already figured out the meaning of the different
letters in the ROMS:

First letter:
L - production revision #
P - prototype revision #
E - experimental revision # (not sure how E and P differ)

Second letter
A - America
G - Germany
F - France
U - Europe

Many thanks in advanced!
David.
