Flat Translites?

I've got a couple of games that the tranlights don't sit flush against
the glass on. I'd say they're kinda wavy, not really wrinkled. It's
only noticable when the the game is off. I hope I'm not being too
anal, but it is noticable when viewed from the sides, especially.
Anyways, I checked for other posts and seems as though the topic has
never beem brought up. I wouldn't call what I'm seeing 'bubbles' as
some other posts have mentioned.
I was wondering if anyone has any proven methods to flatten the
translite. I was thinking maybe just removing it, cleaning the glass
real good and then novus1'ing the translite. Would this be a good
idea? Not sure if it'd aggravate the problem.
I also considered using some of that tint film applicator spray from
home depot.
Any ideas?
