<<> The IPDB has many manuals online.>>
Have you ever tried to download one? It takes forever and 9 times out
of 10 the system hangs. I seriously doubt they will fix the problem
because if you can download a manual for free, that would put a lot of
people out of business that print and sell service manuals. In a way,
I really wouldn't want to see that happen. I usually always buy a
manual when I get a machine. I keep it nearby or with the machine so
I can adjust settings at a moments notice and not have to go all the
way upstairs to look it up on a computer.
IPDB purposely limits manual download speeds to 30k throughput, that
is why they take so long. I've never had a manual hang up on me but it
does take a long time to get them. For the price they charge I won't
complain. :)
<<> Hope that helps!>>
Yes it does, but I am hoping someone knows if there is a list that
posts all the settings or in the very least knows the sound settings
for most games. Really I would only be interested in the early to mid
80's machines as these were the only machines that had the offending
raising background sound.
AFAIK there is no such animal out there.
The only game that I really liked the increasing speed/pitch sound was
Gorgar. Because the sound was that of a heartbeat. Space Invaders
was a close second. But lately I am beginning to like Gorgar more,
it is a nice playing machine with a good amount of things to do on
it. After revisiting Paragon recently, I don't bother with SI that
much anymore...too easy. At any rate, I wouldn't be getting either
game...both would scare the pants off my two boys. Would have to wait
until they are older. I always thought of re-theming an old beat up
Gorgar that was worn out, because I like the playfield layout,
but...that is another story.
Thanx
No problem! :)
Paragon is a great game.
