Tech: New DMD And My Machine Wants To Catch On Fire!

Yeah, I pulled the barley used DMD out of my RBION and put it in my
Street Fighter and now the transformer is getting hot. The brand is
Vishay. One of the harnesses coming out of the transformer was hot and
I started to smell cooked wires. Can replacing a DMD cause this?
