Steve's post I saw that the one segments on the credit display are not
(h) but (b , c)  and it looks like they go to z23.  now I am more
lost.  pins 11 and 12 on z23 just pulse.

I had the game on for about a half hour checking things and now it
doesn't have any locked on segments.  Is it time to use some freeze
spray to find the bad part?  It seems like a reach that two parts
could be bad then good at the same time (Z17 and Z23).  I would think
I was looking for a part that both the bonus display and credit diplay
had in common...correct?

Any ideas ?  If it were an EM game I might be OK, but knowing what
electronic parts are doing is above me.  I can fumble my way through
the schematics but after that I am done.

Hi Scott,

sounds like a connector problem to me. You may need to replace the
Molex clip for pin 24 in the A1J2 connector. This would necessitate a
crimper and new clips (purchase both from Ed at GPE). Your logic
probe findings sound correct. I am glad you checked, before you
removed that chip! :-)
