OK, I just investigated - here's the problem. As the coil pulls the
lock pole thru the weldement hole, it pulls back sorta upward, so it
gets caught on the hole and won't go back thru. Is this the problem
that the couch weld fix was made for?
As a temp fix, I put a piece of dead drop foam right above the lock
pole, which prevents it from angling up as the coil pulls it back, and
it seems to work fine now. If the couch weld fix is the official fix
for this problem, I'll order one of those.
