Re: Bang for the Buck results (B4B 07) --> Solution to the ever popular "is a game worth $x or not" , a.k.a. is MM worth 7k or BBB 11k?

I like what was done too, thought I thought some form a scale with the
ratings may be appropriate. Unfortunately, I have no clue at the
moment how you would add a scale in. There are also other factors I
suspect are not included in the rating system put in the price
(machine reliability being one of them -- ie, a 70's or 80's SS
machine is not going to be as reliable as a late 90's machine). If
you take this as play bang for the buck -- still a great start (people
can just factor in reliability on thier own since it is more era
specific the machine specific).

Max -- Do you have the raw data that might be available in a
spread*** or something? If you captured the raw data I might be
able to build an algorithm to scale the ratings -- I think it would be
interesting to see what revised results you would get.

The Richter scale analogy may be a good compromise. I have no idea how
that would be done.
Also in consideration is how much room does one have. If you have
space for 3 pins then get the "best" you can justify spending  on.
All in all a good new source.
BTW what is MNF ?
