Re: Links/bookmarks needed...computer bit the big one!!!!!!

Thanks, Ron. Bookmarks are actually the least of my problems. Turns
out, my hard drive bit the dust and being the moron that I am, I
didn't have everything backed up like I should. You wouldn't believe
the number of pinball restoration pics I lost.

I guess a computer crash is like a kick in the nuts. It should only
happen once to teach you a lesson.

I think I need a beer.

Bryan,

Once you get your bookmarks reloaded to some point of satisfaction,
save a copy of the file to someplace (try: My Documents/Backups create
the folder if you don't already have one). If you use Firefox for your
browser there is a backup of your bookmark file (several actually) -
just check in the Firefox folder. I lost my bookmarks only a week ago
and I was so pissed for about a week, after a couple of minutes of
searching I found my backups in the Firefox directory and restored it!

If you don't use Firefox then once a month or so, just save the
bookmarks file in your new backups folder and unless the hard drive
crashes and you don't back it up (my computer is scheduled to create a
new backup each week) you'll always be able to get your bookmarks
back, and at the very worst you'll only lose those bookmarks that were
added since the last time you saved.

Sincerely,
Ron R.
