For #1 -- Sounds like you have no load on the 48VDC power.
With no load -- you will normally see roughly 50V x 1.414 or about 70VDC.

Question #1 - Bridge rectifier that supplied 48 Volts DC is reading 70
Volts DC. 51 Volts AC input reads fine. I replaced the rectifier and my
readings are still the same. Any ideas where the additional voltage is
coming from?

Question #2 - At machine power up several of the solenoids on the
playfield are engaging. AC fuse F7, 8 amp slowblo will blow ater about
3
seconds. Is this a driver board issue? If not, any other suggestions?

If I remove A12P1 which sends the 48vdc to the playfiled solenoids,
then the voltage at the rectifier drops from ~70 to ~50. Does that
make sense? Could that be a symptom of a board problem. Note - I was
able to get the solenoids to fire under test mode and all but one of
the solenoids fired. (I was told that the solenoids are controlled by
a different chip in test mode.) Thanks! Carlton Conklin - Lee's son.

With no load -- the voltage is roughly 50 x 1.414 (or square root of 2) or
70 volts. With a load, it drops down to the VDC rating. This is normal
operation for a rectifier circuit.

Does the bad solenoid ever fire? Could be a bad driver transistor.
