Just replaced the flipper switches on my 8 Ball Deluxe.
Could have sworn that the bottom left flipper switch configuration had
the bottom two switch contacts open. While playing the game the left
flippers don't work. After closing the bottom set of switch contacts
on the left flipper assembly... the flippers work correctly.
Current working configuration as circled in red below:

Can someone with an 8 Ball Deluxe please verify that my configuration
as shown in the photo is correct. When I check my other Bally games
with multiple flippers... all of the contacts in this type of scenario
are open. I'm a little confused as to why the 8 Ball Deluxe is
different.
I don't think your EOS switch is wired correctly. The open tab on the
lower switch should have the yellow wire going to the lower lug. It
is hard to see in the picture, but I don't see any wire on that open
lug for the lower switch.
Also, the top set of contacts in the pic should be normally closed,
the bottom set should be normally open. When the flipper pawl opens
the first set of contacts, it then closes the second set. Right now
in the picture, both contacts are closed. Just readjust your contacts
so that the top remains normally closed and the bottom is normally
open, fix the wiring, and you should be good to go.

My flipper is wired like this other users:

So, I'm assuming its correct.- Hide quoted text -

Yes, that wiring looks correct to me. In your configuration, I
thought I saw two wires going to one switch lug, hard to tell in the
picture. I checked all three of the EBDs that I have setup and they
are all wired the same as the other users example. Also, in all three
of my EBDs, the first set of contacts are normally closed and the
second set are normally open.

In the pic it appears that 2 wires go to one switch lug... but in
reality it is connected correctly... you can barely see the one wire
behind the other and its connected to the 2nd switch lug from the
bottom.
So why will my left set of flippers work only when the bottom set of
contacts are closed? This is weird.
Problem solved by reflowing the solder on the bottom two flipper
switch lugs.
