I soldered a new 100 OHM Resistor for the special light on my North Star

Hello,

well it seems I have fewer "free" hours to work on pinball machines at
this point...the same old reasons (job, family, home), but thankfully
I was able to tinker a bit today. Besides, gotta do this today, the
Packers are on tomorrow! :-)

#1 Digit number 2 in Black Hole was out, in displays 1, 3, and 5.
Replaced the corresponding digit 2 pin in connector A1J3 at the
control board. The digit works well now.

#2 The four digit credit/match display on Haunted House has been
intermittently bright/dim. Replaced the connector pins for all the
voltages to the display, and now it is solid bright.

#3 This one was a new fix, for me. The playfield and backbox lights
on my 1958 Gottlieb Brite Star are controlled by an NO switch on the
hold relay. This switch has been intermittent, with the lights
turning off when they are supposed to be on, including during a game
(can't have that)! I refiled the contacts, no luck. I reflowed the
solder to the wires on the leaf blades, still no luck. I then
disassembled the switch stack, and took the two leaf blades out. I
then flowed solder, around sanded clean metal, where the contacts
insert into, on the backside of the leaf blade. I basically made a
"pool" of solder around the hole the contact sits in. The lights now
stay on, when they are supposed to!

Please tell what you fixed today! :-)

Last night when I fired up my DE Simpsons I was missing 1/2 of the GI
lights and after looking into found the connector burned so I reflowed
all solder and replaced the connection today. I also continued working
on shopping my RFM. Still waiting on my new Berry tumbler :(
