I have a tuff repair here at hand, keeping me busy since two day's !!!!!
What's up doc ??? ( as the rabitt say's )
Bally -35 cpu board display test gives only pair numbers 2x 00000 then 2x
222222 2x 4444444 2x 66666 2x 88888 and so on.
So no segments missing no display error as such , but BIT 1 missing in the
memory or structure that holds the numbers during display test.( If you add
bit one during the second display you will have 111, 333,555,and 777 )
Boards starts up fine with game roms of Mata-hari and X and O's , So no
problem with the game roms
o Replaced;
both memory IC's 6810 and 5101
CPU IC9 Pia IC U10 and U11 ,
put to off all dip switches .
No corrosion on the board
My question where resides the numbers for the display test , i suppose in
U6
Where are they transfered to before displaying them , i suppose in the
RAM 6810, as this was replaced , as the test passes ok, the memory test is
ok( test eprom ) and as the board starts up ok ,
I'm out
.
