Howdy, my well played TZ is in need of a good shop job. I think this
will be a good winter project & a good reason to learn since I love
the game & really want it in tip-top shape. It was perfect when I
bought it (thanks jimmy) & has seen a lot of action. Where's the best
guide/advice page for reference & parts?
Thanks!
Chris
I totally agree, get the TOP Vol.3 dvd.
If you decide to start taking anything apart, I highly recommend using
a digital camera to take pics of everything before removal. Even the
wiring connectors! I've shopped out a couple TZs, it's really not
that hard. Take your time, don't rush it! Get a new rubber ring kit,
and while your at it, you may want to consider some new pinballs for
it too(tho I guess you'd have to get 6-7 new ones!). Most people here
recommend Novus 2 for cleaning the playfield. Wax can be used
afterwards, it's really personal preference. There are MANY threads
here all about cleaning proceudres, just google this group and I'm
sure you'll find the answers you're looking for.

TZ's quite difficult because it has so many features. When I did mine
the first time, I did it in sections. You end up taking some stuff off
a couple of times, but that is a good way to learn and you never end
up with an unmangeable mess.
