Certainly a good game. I don't know that I would do all the work
required to install a new playfield on one, but would do an overlay if
one were available. Actually, if the cabinet and BG were close to
perfect I might do the full change out.
LOTS of light sockets on this one, pretty easy otherwise. I'd almost rather get a 555 light board system going on these older bally games because the wiring and sockets are always a mess and a pain to change lamps easily. Not a lucrative business at all as I don't think a lot of people would buy it..... you either have to replace all the sockets ($1.00 apiece! Gotta be a cheaper place to get these!!) or solder them all shut (Radioshack clear flux solder works the best for this with a 100 watt gun.... I can do about 2-3 every 5 minutes, sand, clean and solder..... solder so the socket does not turn, and strip the wire long and solder to the center tip as well as the tab..... alternately you can take ground type wire and solder it base to base, not as good but at least you get an alternate path for the current to flow..... no more flickering sockets!)
If someone made an LED board for this I'd probably switch just for the convenience.......
