Jumper wires on first runs of production boards can be quite common.
It's actually suprising to me that first runs of a pinball machine
boards wouldn't have these straight from the factory, due to the low
quantity they would have been manufacturing them in. Typically it's
cheaper and faster, in small quantities, to have a couple of guys wire
jumpers to fix a few incorrect traces than it is to respin the board.
If your fix is self contained to the board and done cleanly, then it
is not a "hack" at all.
