A hack is defined as something that makes the board non-serviceable - if
I'm following you correctly you soldered a wire from the driver board to
the light board somewhere else in the machine? �That would be a hack, as
if the board has to be removed for some reason, it can't be. �(Because
the wire is attached.)
If you mean the wire is self-contained on the light board, it's slightly
hacky as you should find the break in the trace and just repair that
part..... but is fine if done neatly.

The wire IS self-contained on the light board! I do know better then
to hard wire 2 boards together, lol! I'm kind of proud of myself now,
that was the first thing I ever attempted on a board!
