Re: OT - web page hit counter ?

I used Front Page long after I stopped using most of its features.
I still have a site "contaminated" by their horrible Java buttons
and frames. But I liked the way that it automatically uploaded
the necessary files. Their FTP upload function was a joke, but
for their proprietary upload facility to work you had to have Front
Page extensions installed on the server. Unfortunately, they no
longer officially support this on *nix servers, and many hosting
services that are running current software no longer support
Front Page extensions. Since then, I've bit the bullet, installed
Dreamweaver and learned how to use it, and things are running
smoother than ever before.

... yeah, yeah, yeah.... I know.
But, some of us gotta survive with what we're dealt with, ya know.
And the price was right. Complete Office Professional XP and FrontPage were a whoppng $20....

Honestly, though... Front Page has improved tremendously in the past few years. Kinda like the improvement between early Windows
(GEM - remember that one?) and "Windows 3.1" (for us old fogeys out there).
