Turns out I just realized that I have a great picture of the flipper
area of 'martin's' sample CV.
Checking that - I have the wireing right - so need to move on down the
list.
I have been sick as a dog the last few days, so when I have been
coming up for
air, I have been work ing on this. Will keep you updated with the
progress.

So to summarize the help so far (note I added a better picture):
In the best case:
1. confirm that the wiring is correct to the lugs (have not found a
way to do this yet - better picture should help)http://www.whatifproducts.com/pinball/CVflipper/bettercoilpict.jpg
2. if wiring is ok, then move to the two diodes on the coil (since
theyare new)
-I could either remove and test them, or replace the entire coil with
the other new spare I have,
then debug the removed coil offline. This seems the best bet (the
diodes/coil) since theflipper
worked before I replaced the coil ( unless I fired transitors)
3. check transitors (2x) to thisflipper- I will look this up in the
marvins docs
4. get the wiring (this is #1)
SO if anyone can confirm the wiring of the coil with the better
picture, then I know I have it right and can look elsewhere.
thanks -Phil
The EOS should be compensated for , I will fix than once I fix the
blewing fuse....
BUT, since we are here, I replaced the actual switch which was bad
(lost contact button), and the
switch now makes contact and is good up to the soldered leads. The
quick test I did (switch test diags)
still did not register it. So I should run the wires and look, where
else?

Not for fliptronics games, the machine will compensate for a non working
EOS. In this case, best fix what is blowing up stuff first. EOS will most
likely be a broken wire there or at the other EOS points, easy to find and
fix after he's done smoking fuses and stuff. LTG :)

you say that you have a EOS error for your leftflipper. Is it fixed?
Does it pass on the switch levels test when you manually rotate the
flipper?
I'd make sure that was functioning properly before taking the next step.
