Re: ignore googles post ratings

Actually you WEREN'T being little help, as Outlook Express is free
with IE (which is free - at least it used to be included), so that was
a good suggestion.

I used to use a product called x-news. It was free and worked well,
but I switch computers so much that it was a pain determining which I
already read. Over the last few months, Google has improved quite a
bit. I haven't had issues in a long time. I've actually been very
satisfied... Firefox with Google news works well for me.

And I ignore those stars as well. :)

Mark,

Sorry, I have been using Outlook Express for years and swear by it. It came
on my PC, and my ISP has a news server included at no extra charge, so while
it may not be free, it's cost is included in my computer budget.

My point didn't have anything to do with people or their personality or
intellect, cost or ease, even though Larry was compelled to assumingly put
those words in my mouth, strangely enough. It had to do with Google being
slothlike when it actually does function "properly", and regularly craps its
pants hosing it up for everyone who does rely on it, sometimes days at a
time. I have been forced to resort to it when I have travelled, but I didn't
inhale, and I didn't like it. It is useful as an archive, I guess.

So while I think Google blows chunks as a newsreader, I am of little help
offering an alternative other than OE.

Cody,

Actually this is something that you could help the group out with.

Can you publish on rgp a link to a newsreader that you use that is far
superior to google. Everytime someone does this it is a pain in the
neck to try and download and not very user friendly. As mentioned
before I am having trouble with outlook (sending only)

I trust the newsreader would be free. Despite the problems of google,
it is free and I am not paying for a newsreader .

Thanks in advance!!
