Reseating inserts

My TAF has a few of the mansion inserts starting to lift. In the
past, I have reseated inserts be heating them with a hair dryer and
pressing them back down with a sanding block.

Unfortunately, someone put a piece of mylar across about half the
mansion, so I don't have a level surface to press down on.

The edge of the mylar/mansion inserts have a noticeable effect on the
ball, so I really would like to fix them, but I don't know how to get
the mylar off without pulling up the insert decals.

Any suggestions?

I have considered just pulling the mylar/insert decals off and putting
new decals on, but all the decals that I can find have the words on
the outside of the mylar, so I am worried that the words will just
wear back off them if I don't cover them in mylar again.
