Donnie seems like he almost gets it, he just has too much optimism for human nature. It's like saying to stop looking at the 'horrible' train wreck... They are mesmerized by Gary and the 100 response posts prove it every time... Where are Donnie's kill file mechanisms and extraordinary will-power to resist the urge to post now? It's like Donnie got a dose of kryptonite and now even HE can't resist!

It's not his job to try to keep Gary in check.

Long before I got into doing restores for Gary no one really cared much about my projects or work. That's OK because that's not why I keep doing them anyway...I do them because I want to help others save some machines out there. Long before working on some Machines for Gary I have been (Dare I say... yes) very entertained by his posts. There I said it! He is the puppet master pulling the strings!

Gary gets you guys who can't stand to ignore him all stirred up,
people go off the deep end,

They are powerless to resist, it's amazing like a Sci-Fi movie!

and Chris and anyone else who associates with
Gary gets drug through the mud.

Ever since I was a little kid... I'm was never scared of a little mud. I used to play in it some times. :)

Chris has to put food on the table. He does that with happy customers.
Gary happens to be one. It just doesn't make sense for him to bite the
hand that feeds him, especially when the worst thing Gary has done TO CHRIS
is to praise him a bit too much. And you guys have NO IDEA what Chris may
or may not have said to Gary about it...all you know is that Gary obviously
is going to do whatever the heck Gary wants to do.

I agree, except not only is Gary -one- of my customers, he's my #1 customer, and always will be my customer #1... I know no one will believe this... He is very easy to talk to, he is very understanding and reasonable, it's my pleasure to work with him. If I'm supposed to go there and I call and say I'm sorry I can't make it after all- he doesn't not call me a liar, he say's that's fine, we'll do it next time. Problem over before it ever started. He will always be customer #1... Even though he has many many machines in line he insists to let new customers to the front of the line... I had to say we should make it every- other one- in line just to be fair. He is bending over backwards (no sicko jokes please) to help my 'World Class Pinball' thing here.

Even IF (notice that's a BIG IF) all the Gary haters would get together with a thousand machines but I have to quit working with Gary.... I'd say sorry but NO. I am loyal to each and every customer. Beyond that we are friends too, I've been in the neighborhood and swung by for lunch, we don't strictly talk pins, it's actually fun to hang out...If it were not a 2+ hour round trip with no traffic we'd visit more. I'm not a football fan so I would not even know when the supper bowl is, except I know it' a Sunday.

My Mom did not raise a dummy, you guys that tell me not to work with Gary don't really care about me at all. Sorry to be blunt but let's be real and honest here. Some here would laugh if I was jobless, all the utilities were shut off, fish were all rotting, and my cats were eating each other. Gun nut cal50 guy would probably sneak in and shoot my remaining cats while I watch whimpering in a puddle of my own filth at rock bottom. Many in here would love that... That's human nature for you. Well I'm not going to rock bottom... I'm going to the top. (no disrespect to 'the King')

Now I still got lots to do here, maybe I can post again tomorrow. I'm sure the hornets nest will be at full boil by then. Thanks all.
