When the puck goes over the three center switches (I cannot remember
the letters of them) the pins will score, but will not go up.

The relay in the bank that trips with those switches should trigger
the coils on the pins. I would suspect the relay(s) that are operated
need to be looked at. Check the end of stroke on each pin as well. The
pin to controls connector could be an issue too.

Also, when you trigger the switches that do work, the score does not
register until after the frame is complete (I think this is how it is
supposed to work).

The game should only score after the puck is all the way back. It will
only add points on the first throw if you have a spare from another
frame that it needs to add. The game will then finish the score after
the second throw's puck is all the way back.

When it goes over the center switches, it registers right away.

Check to see if the connector for the switches is seated correct. Then
check to see if any of the switches are shorted to the back row
switches. That might be why the pins never go up.

Lastly, when the wires go through a pin connector, does the same color
wire come out the other side? Are these connectors listed on the
schematic?

Connectors are not often listed in the schematic or where the wires
through a connector. This would be helpful in a lot of cases, but no
one I know of does this. Even if it was a >> type symbol where it went
through a connector that you could check. Wire colors should stay the
same through a connector.

I started looking at this last night but will continue tonight. I'm
getting better at the wiring diagram, but it still is a bit
confusing. Can someone point me to a starting point?

CC schematics are not too bad. United's are worse. Start with
connectors. Then the switches, then the pin setter switches. the the
relays and steppers.

Thank you, that really helps.

I do remember that relay 1-5 (the one that is associated with the
switches will not engage when the siwtches are tripped).
Can I manually trigger this relay to see if it is working?
