Uh oh, I've got a pretty big bulge in my abdomen... I just thought it was

it checked out.

I figure it's sort of off-topic because of all the lifting involved
with pins. . . I also work-out a lot and lift boxes constantly at
work- I've got a faint discomfort in the lower abdominal (near the
bladder) region, and it feels worse if I have to bend at the waist a
lot. If it IS a hernia, I suppose I can blame a very small part of it
on my pinball lifting
:( Anyone here had one? I'm not too crazy about the idea of surgery,
so I'm going to take it easy for a bit. . .
Yep, been there before and had the surgery about 3 years ago.. Don't
know if I got it playing hockey or lifting pins. Like they said it
should show up as a small bulge and it can be pretty serious if not
taken care of.
Like DW I was one hurting puppy for about a week. Now just a slight
twinge or it feels like a rat bit my left nut if I over work.
good luck and at least have it looked at,

seriously, i had two hernia's, left and right. the first i lived with
for years with very minor discomfort. when i thought , oh oh, its
done, the discomfort would pass. finally, it became a very large,
bulging hernia and i had surgery. i was very sore and stiff for over a
week, and you slowly get better. the second, i got around 1995,
lifting a very heavy steel I beam. again, for years, on and off minor
discomfort. i finished that hernia off last summer, lifting
pinballs( no joke) . mucho discomfort, to the point i was wearing a
hernia belt to bed. due to the fact that the anestesia (SP) made me
nausaus, i had the option of being awake for the second one. i was
awake, and glad i was. during the operation, the doctor has to reach
in and pull and stretch everything together . i was all over the
table, it was like he was pulling taffy. when i got home and the dope
wore off, i felt like i was hit by a bus, pain fall the way from my
from my knee to my shoulder, all over. worst i ever felt. and my balls
were so swollen and black and blue, i thought i was going to sue the
guy. i'm glad i was awake, because if i didnt know of all the tugging
and pulling, which caused the intense after pain, i would have been
scared *** it was done wrong. now, the upside: because of all the
intense pulling and after pain, 3 days later i felt like a million
bucks. it was worth all the pulling, swollen balls, and intense pain,
to feel so great 3 days later, instead of almost 2 weeks, like the
first hernia. if you can afford to do it, and miss a little work, do
it. the others are correct, they NEVER get better on their own.
