Your plans are made, your hotel reserved, you're ready to travel to
Southern Illinois in 10 days - RIGHT? Man, you don't want to miss this
year. We're packing the house!
The web site has updates (www.supershow.popbumper.com), mainly the
game list page. We're looking at 89 pieces of equipment, with more
assumed pieces coming. This is always tentative. Stuff breaks down,
people have things that come up, etc. BUT, with all of the folks that
*might* bring machines that are not on the list, we will surely pack
the house tightly with machines. . .
A Fire! machine (not on the list) was donated by the local fire
department. It's about 90% restored (completed in a couple of days)
and will be used in the charity silent auction. On that topic, Stern
has donated a signed POTC playfield (non-populated), several
translites .... GameRoom Magazine has donated the digital archive of
GameRoom magazines (18 volumes) for the auction ... lots more to see
for that cause. We're raising money for a local crisis pregnancy
center and the local Big Bros Big Sisters chapter. They need help,
we're helping!
Vendors? Pinball Life i(Terry) is coming. Get requests into him ASAP
to make sure you're stuff is there.
Illinois Pinball (Gene) is bringing a load of WMS items, better get
requests into him as well. GameRoom Mag (Kevin) will be there selling
books, DVD's, subscriptions, digital stuff, other paper stuff, etc.
Rob Goebel from Pinball Guru will have lotz of ballz with him (very
shiny ones).
The Showdown Tournament will keep it's format again (may it never
change!) ... old EM, newer EM, old SS, newer SS. Always a secret
until opening day. Several of the regular pro level players will be
there.
Games for sell. Probably more than ever before.
So, you've cleared the weekend, taken Friday off to travel, have that
hotel reserved ... right? If you skip this, you're going to do the
same thing this year as you did last .... hate yourself for not
coming. You can STILL pre-register and get a free entry into the
tournament BUT ONLY VIA PAYPAL until 9/16. Mail-in registration is
over. Otherwise, bring cash to the door (and a smile) and you're in!
See you at the Supershow!
Rob Craig
Rob I was holding off on saying this. I know the end is coming.
Anyways, I have a Grand Lizard machine I might be willing to donate.
It still needs some parts maybe some kind souls on here would donate
needed parts to make it work great. Its a little rough on the outside
but I think once we get it up and going it will make a great 1st pin
for someone.
I need : All the displays and proablly a display driver board, rubber
kit, lower flipper assemblies (I see Terry has them on his site for
$37/ea) Anyway, we get all this stuff together Nicole and I will
donate it to the charity auction. I have some questions first tho. Rob
