You might try to build up the worn-out trace with solder. Clean the exising
copper with a scotch brite pad and a little alcohol, then an even coating of
flux, then tin it with some solder. I would try to build it up a little at a
time and be careful of how much heat you put into the trace so it doesn't
lift. Just an idea.

I'm working on a truly beat 0X0 and I've discovered two unfortunate
problems tonight.
First, the bakelite circuit board on the match unit is very worn down
in spots to the point where the copper traces are completely worn
through. In one case there is what looks like a deep burn that has
created a 1/8" gap on one of the copper traces that branches off to a
solder lug. I assume that this is no longer making contact as the gap
is bigger than a point can span. Is there any way to repair or fill
this gap?
