Re: Update on pinball shirts from earlier today... EVERYONE READ!!!

Did they also threaten you with litigation if you didn't "roll over" to
their gag order?

Thanks again for all the kind words, emails, posts, calls... I've been
answering mostly nice emails over breakfast for the last hour!

One more time, just to clarify... I am in full compliance with WEG
(williams), and I take full responsibilty for this. When the deal fell
thru, I should have tossed the test shirts in the dumpster and ate the
loss.

What a crock of total BS! I know there are those who will enthusiastically
disagree with me because of the "copyright" issue, rules are rules, blah,
blah, blah, but here's a guy who had an idea, checked into it as well as he
knew how and was led to believe that he was good to go with it. Then after
investing time & money into it some bigwig throws his patented power trip at
a little fish who doesn't have a chance at making the slightest dent in
their business. You know WEG would rather go after Chuck than someone who is
a real threat because he's an easy target to squash. It doesn't make any
difference other than to make them feel powerful. I'm sure they threatened
that you'd lose everything you have worked for your whole adult life and the
stability of your whole family's existence, while your endeavor was hardly a
blip on their radar - not even a speed bump.

I'm sure they are talking around their water cooler, laughing while they
tell the story about how they shot fear through the very soul of an
(apparently) honest citizen with just a letter and/or phone call. Oh, yea...
BIG man. I think they are mindless cowards.

Chuck, at this point I'm sure you're in no mood or position to make a
statement right now, but if I had the chance I'd like to reimburse you for
one of those shirts so you could burn it before you pack it up and send to
them. I'd bet quite a bit of money that any clothing items you send to them
will just be worn by the recipients and not destroyed. Seems that you would
just be assuring that the "contraband" is not misused by destroying it
beyond usefulness before releasing it from your possession.

Sorry for the rant. Corporate greed just burns my ass. It would be a bit
different if you knowingly went behind a rights-owner's back to make money
off their ideas.

vinito,

Kind of reminds you of one of those Capital One business loan ads,
doesn't it? Where the giant bankers laugh at the miniature small
businessman, and hit golf balls at him, etc. while he tries to explain
his business plan.
