The trick is if you can get the TT completely filled *under* the
lifted part. Then it will be almost unnoticeable compared to bare
lifted ink - you won't be able to see the TT. ON bare lifted ink you
get a secondary reflection off the ink which is what makes it stand
out and look yucky. If you are lucky the TT will suck into the
bubbles from capillary action, or from the ink lifting up more and
then falling back down when the TT is applied, fortunately this
happened on a Bank a Ball of mine.
So - don't worry about pushing the ink down flat if you can get the TT
under it, just the TT being there will do the trick as far as visual
appearance (from the front which is what matters.)
