The obvious answer is to stop using google. It is an atrocioulsy cumbersome,
horrible method of access to usenet and should be used only as a last
resort. Those that use newsreaders do not see google stars or people they
choose not to "listen" to. RGP via newsreader is infinitely more enjoyable
than via google. Stars and trolls don't exist on my RGP.

Funny how you as a question and suddenly there seems to be a whole
bunch of "one star" ratings coming from everywhere on an unrelated
post. This has got to be a record-

Well Karl, I have out-one-starred you well and truly! I guess speaking
out about things here you don't like doesn't earn you any favors?

I'm sure no-one will be too worried about whether or not I post,
except for the 354 users who seem to have me in their sights. Rather
odd that my question to pacek has started this....

Nick, I'm not taking sides here as I ignore the majority of posts that
aren't
technical or buying/selling related; I tend to skip a lot of the show
info,
off-topic stuff, etc. (but not all of it.)

I will say this. Along with all the trolls that we have on this group,
there's
also the backstabbers that don't have the balls to say anything directly
to
someone but sneak around behind the scenes with their meaningless little
google
stars, posts under fake accounts, ugly emails to others about what they
think of
you, etc. and then there's the hotheads that just can't wait for you to
say
something so they can throw a big fit about it.

I, for one, will just say, get a grip people. This is just pinball. It's
a
hobby. If you're not coming here to discuss playing, collecting,
restoring,
repairing, buying, selling pinball then GTFO. Obviously nobody can make
you go
away but consider what it says about you that you have to hang out here,
where
you're not wanted, to get your jollies.

There's a few of you that are really great people but other than that,
there
sure are a bunch of noisy children with no home training. One-star
away...

Hey Nick,
I had that happen ( Only when Garys lurking ) & I reported it to
Google & they fixed the ratings,, Its got to be a pretty Sad Life to
sit there & hit that one Star over & over & over again just to make
someone look bad, I'd report it & then not worry about it as Google
will see the One person who got their Jollys clicking away.
Richard, I post alot of OT stuff trying to be funny or get a laugh &
theres a reason for that that & I wont ask anyone to understand, I
might bother a few folks, But the people who know me might know why I
do it & I leave the Tech questions for the people here who know ALOT
more than I do & I Google for most of my problems unless I'm in a
hurry.
You guys Take Care & know Fridays coming ! =)
