That would be the 2007 edition of the Mr. Pinball price guide, written
by Daina Pettit. And that is a $100 drop from the 2006 price guide, no
less. Now, prices in that book are averaged for the entire nation. In
CA, street prices are generally higher than the guide by $50-250, and
the lower prices in the rest of the nation drag the prices down to the
published amount, generally. So that means the game is worth about
$2200 out here, with some subtraction due to cab fade. But that's
beside the point since the game isn't for sale. I just delivered it
and it looks and plays great. It doesn't have the deepest ruleset, nor
is it the most challenging or original, and the premise is a bit
strange, but it's a fun game nonetheless. I could do without the
Carlene Carter song during multiball but there are more obnoxious
games out there, to be sure. And who can argue with crushing cabs
driven by middle eastern taxicab drivers, or semis taking out cop cars
driven by officer Steve Speed? I bet you Neo just got tired of Red
telling him "You big dummy - you miss everything!".

since he gets most of his stats from his own site, which people
actually sell the stuff cheaper than they list it for. Everything
i've sold on Mr.pinball went for $100-$1000 less than I listed it. So
his numbers are off. 86% of everything i've seen in that guide is
$400-$800 over what stuff really sells for. If they have roadshow at
$2200, it reality, i goes for $1400-$1600, which is does. If WH20
Says 2k, then reality is $1500. Which is also true. What does he
have RFM and EP1 listed for? I bet not $1800-$2000 like you can find
them everywhere for. Nope, I imagine yet again, it's way over
reality. What people ask, and what they actually exchange cash
for...are two very different prices. The guide is skewed.
Drastically.
