Re: TECH: EM Shuffle Bowler

Here's an update in case anyone can use the information in the future.

I ordered a new TOP 8. Watched it and sure enough, Shaggy said there
are often problems with the reset coils. One of them was broken. I
replaced the coil and the reset works just fine. The one thing I must
have missed in the video is how to clean the pin mechanisms. I'm
assuming I use alcohol to clean the mechs, then, if they are metal to
metal, use some teflon lube. I have the schematic, but what I'd
really love to get is a diagram on the reset bank to tell me which
switch does what.

Next thing I need to work on is cleaning the scoring motor reels.

I will say, it is a rush (I'm still relatively new at this) to get
some of the stuff cleaned and working.

If only I had more time.

Rich,
I forgot to mention TOP #8 that Clay references. I have it. It's
fantastic for this kind of thing. 8 bucks. You'll never spend 8 bucks
any better. I didn't even have a bowler when I bought it and I still
enjoyed the heck out of it. Great information that is well presented.

Sad part is I have one of these somewhere in the house. I guess I'll
have to order another one.

Sounds like you could spend some time not working on anything, just
organizing things. I feel your pain. :-)
I have to do that about once a month. Organize the parts that I've
purchased, make sure all my tools are where they are supposed to be,
clean up a bit, etc.
